Janet London

London emphasizes exploiting the tactile properties of paint, how gestures can illustrate emotions, and how colors and materials affect people in everyday life. Currently, she creates abstract works using powerful and expressive gestures, continuous line drawings, as well as portraits of her favorite animals.

Originally from Ontario, Janet now lives and works in Quebec; where she had the honor of receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University of Montreal. Her art has been exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Redpath Museum at McGill and the Desjardins art Gallery.
